11/19/2006- Belmont-San Carlos Engine Companies 14, 15, 16, Truck Company 13, Battalion Chief 4, San Mateo Engine Companies 23, 26, and Redwood City Battalion Chief 3 responded to a Structure Fire at the Tattoo Parlor at 898 El Camino Real in Belmont at 9:37 p.m. Dispatch advised smoke coming from the building. Engine 14 turned the corner at Ralston Avenue and El Camino Real and reported smoke showing. Battalion 4 arrived onscene and established El Camino I/C. Engine 14 made an aggressive fire attack keeping the fire to the building of origin with exposures on Side Bravo and ventilation was made on the roof by Truck 13. San Mateo Engine Company 26 was assigned as the Rapid Intervention Crew. I/C requested Peninsula Fire Buffs & Belmont-San Carlos Fire Prevention 4 to the scene. Southbound El Camino Real was shut down for a couple hours while crews mopped up. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
