11/09/2006- Belmont-San Carlos Truck Company 13 and Belmont-San Carlos Battalion Chief 4 along with the Peninsula Humane Society Officers responded to a public assist for a cat stuck in a lamppost at 977 Bransten Road. The call was dispatched at 8:00 p.m. and stated the cat was stuck at the end of the post. Firefighters were onscene for 45 minutes and used a circular saw and tools to free the cat that was stuck in the post lying on the ground. The kitten came out uninjured.
