11/07/2006- At 6:26 a.m. Belmont-San Carlos Engine 14, San Mateo Engine Companies 23 & 25, Belmont-San Carlos Truck Company 13, and Belmont-San Carlos Battalion Chief 4 responded to a Full Assignment Response reported at 43rd Avenue and El Camino Real for smoke from a building. Units arrived onscene at 25 43rd Avenue to find a liquor store fully involved on the first floor with multiple exposures and requested ventilation and exposure protection. Units immediately requested the balance of a Structure Fire bringing San Mateo Engine Company 26, Belmont-San Carlos Engine Company 15, and Foster City Battalion Chief 6. A Second-alarm was struck soon after bringing San Mateo Engine Company 27, Foster City Engine Companies 28 & 29, Foster City Truck Company 28, San Mateo Battalion Chief 5, Central County Battalion Chief 8, Breathing Support 17, and Incident Dispatcher and by 6:45 a.m. reached three-alarms bringing Redwood City Engine Company 20, San Mateo Engine Companies 21 & 24, San Mateo Truck Company 21 & Peninsula Fire Buffs Club. The San Mateo Fire Chief responded along with other Chiefs and support personnel from around the county.
